Solaz Adventures was founded on a genuine love of the sport of surfing, and a desire to share the relaxed lifestyle, camaraderie, and sense of renewal that surfing and travel inspire.

We are unique because we offer Surf Trips for Everyone, providing couples, families, groups, and individuals of all abilities with safe and fun surf adventures. We are dedicated to keeping our groups small, 4-8 people, so we don’t crowd or overwhelm the places we have come to enjoy.

A former professional athlete, Erik’s love of the outdoors, travel, and adventure sports has defined his life. From racing mountain bikes in Japan, helicopter snowboarding in Alaska, leading student groups into Colorado’s wilderness, to exploring remote surf spots in New Zealand, Australia, California, and Mexico, his passions for nature, culture, and adventure have not waned. He has patiently and enthusiastically taught hundreds of people to surf, from 6 year-old kids to 65 year-old grandmothers.

Andy, a life long traveler and adventurer, fell in love with surfing while living in Central America. He speaks Spanish and has an in depth knowledge of the surf spots and culture of Costa Rica. He is a Certified Massage Therapist who has been practicing various types of yoga for 5 years, is CPR/First-Aid certified, and has traveled extensively through Europe, New Zealand, Australia, Mexico, and Central America.
